✅what value did it add?
✅what skills did I learn?
✅does this make sense for me to do or is it better suited for another member of the team?

Then, during the year-end review cycle, it’s REALLY EASY to pull together my accomplishments for the year.

This process has helped me earn 6 promotions over my last two jobs.

💭do you do something like this? Would you be interested in a template if I made one available?

Have a great weekend!

smh because it’s true ➡️ our daycare just we smh because it’s true ➡️ our daycare just went up another $100/month for the third time this year and now we will be paying over $20k per year for one toddler. Imagine the cost if you have 2 or 3 kids?!? 😱🤯

Childcare is crazy expensive no matter which option you choose.
✅want to be a stay at home parent? Well then you’re giving up your annual salary, benefits, 401k match etc
✅want to have a nanny? You’ll easily pay over $20/hr for one child or $30-40k per YEAR
✅want to go the “cheaper” route and do daycare? You’re looking at over $20k per year in most areas.

Some parents long to stay-at-home but simply can’t afford it. Some parents LOVE working but feel like they have to give up their job because childcare eats their whole paycheck.

There is no right answer. As parents, we’re in this together. 💪🏻

This fall we’re launching a kids and money course that will walk you through all the costs that come along with having a child and how to beat PREPARE so you’re ready. Be the first to know the details by subscribing at the link in our bio.

It’s the first of the month, so let’s make sur It’s the first of the month, so let’s make sure you’re getting paid correctly⬇️

Three instances I’ve had errors:
1. My bonus earned was not fully paid
2. My Roth 401k deduction was being treated as a traditional 401k
3. My salary increase was not fully adjusted

Other errors I’ve personally seen from others:
1. Maternity leave compensation not accurately calculated due to a change in policy
2. People not realizing that depending on your provider, you may need to manually set aside money from your maternity leave paychecks (it does not always automatically withhold for you). Hopefully your HR team gives you a heads up so you aren’t surprised with a big tax bill.

Moral of the story: as well-intentioned as your HR team may be, they are humans and humans make errors.

If you find an error, bring it up with your HR team immediately. The sooner you alert them, the less of a hassle it will be to fix the issue.

💬tell me, have you ever found an error on your paystub? Will you look more closely now?

Notice how something is missing here? Yeah, the wo Notice how something is missing here? Yeah, the word “budget.” We HATE budgeting, so we don’t do it.

Instead, we’ve created a template that solely focuses on your goals:

✅that trip you have planned
✅the home renovation project you want
✅the emergency fund to give you peace of mind
✅the car you want to buy
✅the dream wedding you want to plan
✅the baby gear you need

We simply noticed that a budget didn’t make us change our spending habits. *however* seeing our goals get pushed up (or pushed back) because of the way we spent our money in the month, DID make us change our spending habits.

We’re currently in the testing phase, then we’ll have friends and family test it to give feedback, and then we’ll make it available to YOU later this year. We’re so excited for you to get your hands on this template, because it’s been a game changer for us. Subscribe at the link in our bio to be the first to know the details.

💬are you like us and hate budgeting?
