Welcome to class, friend! There’s a reason why the wealthy use HSA accounts as investment vehicles instead of using the funds to pay for their medical expenses each year 🤯 They’re having the tax system work FOR them, instead of AGAINST them.

Of course, you have to be able to afford your out-of-pocket medical expenses, which is a *huge* luxury, but if you’re someone who doesn’t get sick very often (that is unfortunately not me 🤪), your medical expenses may not be too high!

🎙COMMENT BELOW: Do you have an HSA? If so, do you use the funds each year, invest them, or both?!

Top 3 ways YOU can combat inflation: Inflation is Top 3 ways YOU can combat inflation:

Inflation is the general increase in the prices of goods and services in an economy over time. Simply put, you have to spend 8.6%more (on average) to buy the same goods vs. this time last year.

1️⃣INVEST! The S&P 500, which comprises about 500 of America's largest publicly traded companies and is considered the benchmark measure for annual returns, has had an average return of about 10% per year for nearly the last century.

So store your emergency fund in your savings account (because you always want to be able to access that at a moment's notice), but use your extra cash to invest to at least have a shot at earning a return higher than inflation. You can do this a few different ways:
✅ increase your 401k contributions
✅ open up a roth IRA
✅ open up a taxable brokerage account

2️⃣ Negotiate a raise! I always recommend starting these conversations by clearly showing the VALUE that you have contributed to the organization over the last 6-12 months. Have you taken on additional responsibilities? Do some research on similar roles in your area and companies your size. The more legwork you do up front, the more successful you'll be!

3️⃣Cut Costs. This is never fun, and you can only cut costs so much, but it's an easy place to start. If you are able to cut costs in the areas where inflation is high, that's even better.
