Key factors to include in your email ⬇️

1️⃣ Make sure you send the email to the person with the authority to make upgrade decisions. Usually this is the general manager or someone higher up on the sales team. To find their contact info, you can see if the general manager is listed on your confirmation email, search the hotel website, do a quick Google search of the hotel name and the keyword "general manager," or call up the hotel and simply ask for the general manager's email!

2️⃣Make sure you booked the hotel through the hotel website, instead of third party websites like TripAdvisor, because the hotel has to pay those websites a commission. Then, in your email, let the GM know!

3️⃣Use positivity and let them know how excited you are to stay at the hotel

☑️Other helpful items to include, if possible:
4️⃣If possible, mention that you're celebrating an anniversary, girls trip, birthday etc

5️⃣ Specify what type of upgrade or room you'd hope for (if you have one in mind)!

6️⃣If you have any kind of status with the hotel, it can only help you to drop that nugget of information, too

7️⃣Help them help you. Include your confirmation number and dates of your stay to make it extra easy on them when looking up your reservation.

From the hotel's perspective, they have a paying customer that is excited to stay with them, that has gone out of their way to write an email about their excitement, and if the hotel does something to make the stay extra special, that customer is WAY more likely than anyone else to write them a positive review, which is what the hotel strives for.

After all is said and done, the worst the hotel can say is "no," and you'll have the original room you booked. So just ask!💯

🖤COMMENT (or DM me) “DEBT” to get started m 🖤COMMENT (or DM me) “DEBT” to get started making your own plan today.

Paying off debt can be emotionally and financially draining. When I was paying off my own debt, I often felt like I would make a payment, and then the interest would climb back up and I would make no progress.😭

Creating a debt payoff plan was critical in helping me actually see the progress I was making, which in turn motivated me to keep going.🎉

Whether you’re saddled with student debt that has payments resuming in a few weeks, or maybe you have credit card debt, car loans, or any other type of debt, there is a way out.🖤

If you have a home, what interest is your mortgage?

We’re in the same boat- bought a house in January of 2020 with a 2.5% interest rate. Feeling very thankful we locked that in, but will definitely be hard to move if rates don’t come down any time soon 😅

    HERE’S HOW↓ Step 1️⃣: You need to know wh HERE’S HOW↓

Step 1️⃣: You need to know what your goals are. These goals need to be specific and measurable.

Examples: you want to go on a 7-day euro trip, you want to become a stay-at-home-parent, you want to buy a $350k home, you want to buy a $20k car, you want to be work-optional by age 45, you want to save $100k for your kid’s college education.

What lights you on fire? What makes you want to get out of bed in the morning? These are the goals we care about.✨

Step2️⃣: we need to figure out how making spending decisions today affects our progress towards our goals.

If we don’t know how our spending today impacts the goals we actually care about, we will just spend and spend and spend. Then, it’ll be time for the goal to happen and we won’t be able to do it. We don’t want this to happen!❌

⭐️This is the ENTIRE premise of the new personal finance Wealth and Goals dashboard we’re launching later this fall.

We truly don’t care if you spend $7 on a latte, or go buy a new purse, or splurge on the latest video game. We care that YOU know what your goals are and that YOU know how spending today will make or break your ability to get to those goals.💯

✅COMMENT: “Newsletter” to be the first to know when we launch the Wealth & Goals dashboard! Thousands have already joined our list to read our free monthly newsletter and get access to our favorite financial tools and resources.
