Life is all about trade offs. You need to decide w Life is all about trade offs. You need to decide what goals are the most important to you, and then make trade offs in your life to achieve those goals.✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For us, our goal is to continue to travel to our bucket list locations, save for a lake house, and invest so we can retire early 🙃
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We choose to drive our old, reliable, fully paid off 2003 Toyota Camry, so that we can make all of these goals a reality! Neither of us are huge ‘car’ people, so this is a tradeoff that works for us.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you love cars, maybe your tradeoff is that you choose to limit your travel, so that you can purchase your dream car. Everyone’s goals are different. The important thing to remember is that YOU have identified YOUR GOALS and you’re taking steps to achieve them.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What are your goals? What are your tradeoffs to achieve those goals? Anyone else drive an old car like us? Would LOVE to know! 🎉

TBH this can apply to so many areas of life. I’ TBH this can apply to so many areas of life.

I’ve always thought it’s an amazing quality if someone says they’re going to do something AND they actually do it.

So when I stumbled upon this mantra, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to flip the script on myself and use it as a mantra for me.

💬[Comment below]: what’s your version of this mantra that you want to stick to?

A rich life doesn’t mean having a lot of money, A rich life doesn’t mean having a lot of money, it means designing your life so you can spend your TIME the way you want to.

I love this concept from danmartell!

This could be YOU! Keep reading ⬇️ TODAY, Jan This could be YOU! Keep reading ⬇️

TODAY, January 23rd, the IRS officially begins the 2023 tax season.

It’s usually not ideal to get a tax refund, because that just means you loaned the government money all year interest free. But some people love getting a tax refund, because it feels like a big influx of money, when it reality, the government was helping you save your money all year.

NEVERTHELESS, if you get a refund, you can either choose to blow it, OR throw it into an investment and watch how it compounds!!

Assumptions:
✔️the interest rate used to forecast the investment growth is 7.5%. Approximation of average historical stock returns net of average historical inflation.
✔️By using the “4% rule”, they can withdraw 4% of their investment value each year in retirement (adjusted for inflation). For this couple, they could withdraw over $45k tax free every year in retirement. While this rule isn’t perfect, it’s a great place to start in determining if you’ll have “enough” money in retirement.

Whether you’re older/younger, have been investing for awhile or just getting started, the point is that compound interest is your friend and generally the earlier you start investing, the easier it will be for your investments to compound and grow faster. Today is always better than tomorrow.

💬[Comment below]: do you think you owe taxes or will get a refund? How will you use your refund?!
